For three days, they peddled for all they were worth in the first WNT Bike Challenge; and all for a good cause. For months the 70 WNT employees had prepared for the demanding tour, which climbed nearly 4,000 meters in total: On the first day, the 100 kilometer Allgäu castle tour took them to Füssen, Hohenschwangau and Oberammergau. The second day covered 70 kilometers over mountainous terrain: from Grän via the Gaichtpass to the Heiterwanger See. On the third day, the WNT team took part for the first time in the Allgäu tour organized by the Kempten Cycling Club and achieved an excellent second place with a total of 3,694 kilometers.
Claude Sun, Head of the WNT Business Unit: “It was wonderful to watch how everybody managed to surpass themselves. Their efforts deserve every respect. Our WNT team showed fantastic sporting enthusiasm and a great team spirit.”
And every kilometer cycled by the WNT team from Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, England, Ireland, Italy, France, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Turkey earned an extra bonus: Once again, money was raised this year for Doctors without Borders.
